What do you appreciate most about the teacher’s approach to teaching and engaging with your child?
I do appreciate that Mrs. Nichter keeps her classroom very organized. My daughter always knows what the assignments are and when they’re due, which helps her stay on track. Even though science isn’t her favorite subject, the clear structure makes it easier for her to manage the work.
What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance your child’s learning experience in this class?
My daughter doesn’t really respond well to sarcasm. Sometimes it makes her feel nervous to ask questions, and I worry it discourages her from participating. She does much better with patience and encouragement. Since she already struggles to enjoy science, a little more positive reinforcement would really help her feel more comfortable.
Is there anything specific about the teacher’s approach that has made a positive and/or negative impact on your child’s development or academic progress?
The good part is the consistency with grading and assignments. My daughter knows what to expect and that helps her stay organized. But when sarcasm is used, she takes it to heart and it can knock down her confidence. I see her hesitate more, and I know she would do better if she felt more supported when she has questions.
