Overall, how satisfied are you with the leadership and management at your school?
What do you appreciate most about the leadership’s approach to supporting teachers and fostering a positive school environment?
When Gerald came to this school as an interim head of school while Bill and Kapano were still here, many of us started to see the writing on the wall. He had some shoes to fill, which he didn't. If I were to say that I appreciate anything about Gerald, it would be that he is gone now.
What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance the support or effectiveness of school leadership?
One, when you go on the intercom, please don't just refer to your wife as Mrs. Redd and the rest of us by our first names. It shows favoritism and disrespect. You need to be more concise about what the school needs and where it is headed; we are always left in the dark because of you. Also, stop bringing out your guitar while we are dealing with difficult parents during dismissal and sing songs in Spanish, which have some questionable lyrics.
Can you share an example of how leadership has positively and/or negatively impacted your teaching experience or your students’ success?
We all saw how upper elementary got priority on everything after Mrs. Redd became the assistant principal of that department. So many of us were S.O.L. when it came to getting help or resources because we were on the bottom of the totem pole.
