My child has become anxious about going to school and now feels disconnected from classmates and learning. The school must take reports of bullying seriously and prioritize emotional well-being alongside academics. Parents want to work with the school, but that requires genuine communication, consistent follow-through, and transparency.

What do you appreciate most about the school’s approach to supporting your child’s learning and development?

I appreciate that the new principal appears to be taking steps toward improving communication and accountability. While there are still major issues, it’s reassuring to know leadership may finally be listening to parent concerns.

What improvements, if any, would you suggest to make the school experience better for students and parents?

There needs to be stronger supervision during unstructured times, consistent consequences for bullying, and clearer homework expectations. Teachers should communicate more effectively with parents and offer enrichment for students who finish work quickly or need more challenge.

Can you share an example of how the school has positively and/or negatively impacted your child’s academic or personal growth?

In the earlier years, my child had teachers who made learning enjoyable and engaging. Unfortunately, that changed over the past two years as bullying increased and classroom behavior went unchecked. The lack of structure and emotional safety has affected my child’s confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
