It’s disappointing to see leadership that lacks classroom perspective making decisions that affect teachers and students daily. Mark needs to build trust through humility, listening to experienced educators, acknowledging his limitations, and seeking mentorship rather than dismissing feedback. The staff want to feel supported, not silenced. With better communication, genuine collaboration, and a willingness to learn, he could still earn the respect else because a lot of here have lost our trust in his ability and as good person.

What do you appreciate most about the leadership’s approach to supporting teachers and fostering a positive school environment?

There is a very little support that comes from Mark because this position is way over his head. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲-𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻. We have multiple problematic students that he cannot handle and never improve under guidance/support. When we try to talk to him, he is snubbish when you try to give him insight or feedback to the point many of us stopped asking for help because we know it's better to do it on our own.

What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance the support or effectiveness of school leadership?

Please listen to your colleagues, especially those who have many more years in the education than you.

Can you share an example of how leadership has positively and/or negatively impacted your teaching experience or your students’ success?

When Mark first started here, he was energetic and had some good ideas that would help out the school. However, after time passed by we all surprised with his lack of ability to listen to others. He comes off as stuck up, pompous, and conceited. Staff here have started to ignore Mark and just greet him as a necessity to not hurt his feelings . Many of us actually do not respect him because of his attitude and his lack of experience.
