My child’s experience at this school caused long-term emotional strain that we are still addressing even after transferring. No parent should have to watch their child become afraid to attend school or lose confidence because safety issues are not dealt with effectively. I truly hope the school reflects on the seriousness of these concerns and takes meaningful steps to prioritize student well-being, accountability, and consistent communication with families.

What do you appreciate most about the school’s approach to supporting your child’s learning and development?

Unfortunately, there was very little I could appreciate about the school’s approach. While a few individual teachers showed kindness, the overall system did not support my child’s learning or emotional needs. The lack of consistent intervention, supervision, and follow-through made it difficult for my child to feel safe enough to learn. Any positive efforts were overshadowed by ongoing bullying issues that were never resolved despite multiple concerns being raised.

What improvements, if any, would you suggest to make the school experience better for students and parents?

The school needs a much stronger and more consistent approach to bullying prevention and intervention. Reports should be taken seriously, documented properly, and followed up with real action rather than brief verbal warnings. Students also need better emotional-health support, more supervision during unstructured times, and staff who are trained to recognize and respond to harassment. Clear communication with parents and transparency about how incidents are handled would go a long way toward rebuilding trust and ensuring students feel protected.

Can you share an example of how the school has positively and/or negatively impacted your child’s academic or personal growth?

My child did not experience positive growth at this school. In fact, the ongoing bullying and lack of support led us to move them to a different school. Even after transferring, my child still struggles with the emotional effects of what happened, showing how deeply the experience impacted them. Instead of building confidence, the environment caused long-term stress and anxiety that we are still working through.
