Mr. Pearson is not a bad teacher, but I do think he is a novice teacher who does not know how to teach the IB philosophy. Being in multiple IB schools in Asia, I feel Yoyogi is lacking in experienced teacher. I have read another review about another teacher and about the school, I truly feel like that the IB logo is just a marketing gamic to get students, because there were a lot of printout worksheets that I remembered my child kept bringing back worksheet. I recommend for parents to look for other schools at the moment until the school brings in better teachers with real IB experience.

What do you appreciate most about the teacher’s approach to teaching and engaging with your child?
My child loved having Mr. Pearson's class, which I really appreciated it but there are come concerns I have as a parent.
What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance your child’s learning experience in this class?
I do not appreciate it that my child watches tv programs while they eating lunch. Students already have a short lunch period. Second, I did not see much inquiry or improved writing skills since my child went into his class. While talking to my son's friend's parent who had their child in their other class, they were actually doing proper research for their exhibition project.
Is there anything specific about the teacher’s approach that has made a positive and/or negative impact on your child’s development or academic progress?
Moving back to our country and having my child back in middle school, their research skills and writing skills are not up to par. Sadly, I have to their math skill is not strong either.
