To be honest, I do not think we deserved to get reauthorized for the PYP, the school rarely follows IB philosophy. I also think having your reauthorization on a Zoom meeting does not show the true picture of what is really going on. Lastly, too many of the teachers just print out worksheets to get the day through. If you are an experienced teacher, I highly recommend finding another school that actually want to do the job the right way. Also, do not expect any stipend for professional development.

Overall, how satisfied are you with your experience at this school?
What do you appreciate most about the school’s approach to supporting teachers and creating a positive work environment?
To be honest Mike Mural really helped me out with the IB philosophy and the kids were really loved when he came to the class to co-teach.
What areas of improvement do you think the school should focus on to better support its teachers?
The teachers really need to work on how to give a proper IB lesson that focuses on the ATLs and LPs. Only one of the teachers in classroom actually conducted inquiry based learning in the class, especially during the PYP Exhibition. I think leadership really needs to work on requiring my IB training courses.
Can you share an example of how the school has positively and/or negatively impacted your teaching or the learning experience of your students?
I don't know, the school has potential, but I left because teachers at the school and teachers are really not following the IB philosophy. Me and one other teacher did realize that the school has less than qualified teachers who are stuck their because of the golden handcuffs.
