Whenever I subbed for Ms. Chien, they said that they missed Ms. Renu because they were engaged in the lesson and discussion and not just copying off of the board. They even enjoyed my lessons when she was gone because they said they would just copy off of the board. Unfortunately, I wouldn't really trust Ms. Chien, she does not lesson plan, and if she does, it is heavily influenced on Twinkl.

Hmmm, this is a tough one. I would say she is resourceful with Twinkl.

I think there many growth area that Ms. Chien needs to improve on, particularly in regards to creating lessons that are inquiry based and not just running a PowerPoint presentation that she just got off of Twinkl.
Can you share an example of how this teacher positively or negatively impacted student learning and/or the school environment?
There were many times where I had to speak Ms. Chien about her Fountas & Pannell reading assessment for her students. She has claimed that she never conducted the assessment and has no idea how to do it, but in fact during the time she was substituting for a teacher who went on maternity leave, 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬' 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞. If you ask her to show you the end of the school year reading assessments for her students from 2023-2024 she would not be able to show you because she never did them. She then used her an excuse of being stressed out about me asking her to do the assessments to the point she had to take leave off. However, according to the head of school, she went overseas on vacation and left her colleagues with all the summer school responsibilities.
