Overall, the school's operations often felt disorganized and lacked the consistency needed to effectively support both staff and students. Frequent last-minute timetable changes, limited access to essential teaching resources, and insufficient classroom support created unnecessary challenges that made it difficult to focus on teaching. Teachers were often expected to adapt to changing circumstances with little notice while managing classrooms without adequate support or clear communication. These ongoing operational issues contributed to a stressful work environment and reduced the time and energy that could be devoted to student learning. Over time, the cumulative effect was an exhausting and frustrating workplace where preventable operational problems frequently took priority over instruction. Based on my experience, I would encourage prospective teachers and parents to carefully research the school before making a decision, as these issues had a noticeable impact on both staff morale and the overall educational experience.

What do you appreciate most about the school’s approach to supporting teachers and creating a positive work environment?

Frankly, very little stands out as appreciable. The students themselves are generally pleasant to work with, but that is down to their own nature rather than anything the school provides. In terms of institutional support or a positive environment, the school falls noticeably short. Any camaraderie that exists is purely among the teaching staff, formed in spite of the administration, not because of it.

What areas of improvement do you think the school should focus on to better support its teachers?

Where to begin? The operational chaos here is frankly exhausting. Schedule stability is virtually non-existent. Timetables are revised at least once a month, and often on a weekly basis. These changes are routinely communicated at the eleventh hour, leaving no practical window to adjust lesson plans or prepare adequately. It is an unreasonable way to run any academic institution. Resource provision is woefully inadequate. Essential materials—particularly art supplies and basic consumables—are routinely missing from the premises. Lessons that require hands-on activities are regularly scrapped or severely downgraded because the necessary items simply have not been ordered or stocked. This is a recurring issue, not a one-off oversight. Classroom support is minimal. Teachers are largely responsible for supervising students and managing behavior without additional staff available to assist when needed. This creates an excessive workload and makes it difficult to effectively support all students.

Can you share an example of how the school has positively and/or negatively impacted your teaching or the learning experience of your students?

The impact on students is noticeable. Ongoing shortages of classroom materials have resulted in some planned art and science activities being cancelled or modified at short notice, with workbook-based tasks used as substitutes. As a result, lessons that were intended to be interactive and hands-on became more passive, reducing opportunities for student engagement. In addition, parent concerns are frequently passed directly to teachers, often with limited context or guidance from leadership. Rather than being addressed through a structured process, these concerns can place additional pressure on classroom teachers and divert attention from instruction. Combined with frequent scheduling changes and administrative demands, valuable teaching time is often redirected toward resolving operational issues, which can affect the consistency and quality of students' learning experiences.
