She has good intentions and clearly wants to do well, but sometimes it feels like she’s still trying to find her footing in this role. A bit more humility and willingness to learn from others could go a long way. She’s kind and approachable as a person, but needs to work on consistency, follow-through, and not ignoring her team. With more experience and self-awareness, she could definitely grow into a stronger leader.

What do you appreciate most about the leadership’s approach to supporting teachers and fostering a positive school environment?

She’s very friendly and seems to genuinely care about the students. You can tell she wants the best for them and tries to create a good environment for the younger grades. When she’s focused, she does try to help and support teachers where she can.

What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance the support or effectiveness of school leadership?

At times, it feels like the position might be a bit over her head. She can come off a bit airheaded or unsure when decisions need to be made. I think she could have benefited from spending more time as a teacher first before stepping into leadership. Also, sometimes she seems to push people away without realizing it, which can make working with her a bit frustrating. More consistency and openness with the team would really help.

Can you share an example of how leadership has positively and/or negatively impacted your teaching experience or your students’ success?

There have been times when her communication felt unclear or delayed, which made it harder to plan or align things across the grade levels. On the positive side, she’s approachable and tries to stay upbeat, which helps keep the environment friendly even when things get stressful.
